CHOC Block This
facility, situated at the Nkosi Albert Luthuli Hospital, provides a
private rooming-in facility for a child with cancer and their
care-giver during their often lengthy treatment. This facility is fully
operational, and provides 15 rooms with two beds in each.
The Pietermaritzburg Division sponsors three of these rooms at an annual cost of R61,091.88.
This equates to R20,363.96 per room per annum OR R1,697.00 per room per month OR R55.79 per room per day. The child and caregiver are provided with accommodation, two meals (Brunch & Supper), laundry facilities, and a place to relax - every day - for as long as they need it. This is all at NO COST to them! Your support is needed to fund this facility.
